Clinical Officers Council Hosts CPD Providers Training on Online Administration
Nairobi, Kenya – January 2025
The Clinical Officers Council (COC) hosted a three-day training on the online administration of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) from 27th to 29th January 2025. The training brought together CPD providers from various institutions to enhance their capacity in managing CPD activities through the COC’s online platform. Participants received hands-on training on system usage, ensuring seamless CPD administration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The event also provided a platform for CPD providers to network, exchange experiences, and gain deeper insights into CPD guidelines and regulations. Key discussions focused on linking CPD providers, addressing challenges in CPD implementation, and developing a strategic way forward to enhance service delivery. By the third day, participants had gained practical experience with the platform, identified key areas for improvement, and shared valuable feedback on optimizing the system.
The collaboration between the Council and CPD providers will be instrumental in ensuring that CPD activities remain accessible to Clinical Officers, supporting their continuous learning and professional growth. The training successfully strengthened the CPD framework, allowing healthcare professionals to efficiently access, manage, and track their professional development online.
