Private practice means the practice of medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics or health work by a clinical officer for a fee either in kind or cash;
Requirements for Private practice by Clinical Officers;
- Must be registered as a clinical officer under Clinical Officers Act;
- Has practiced as a clinical officer under a senior clinical officer or senior medical officer for a period of not less than three years; (Attach supporting evidence; Recommendation letter)
- holds a valid practicing license issued under Clinical officers Act.
- Make an application to the Registrar Clinical Officers council; to be attached on the portal
- Register your business name with the registrar of companies (attach Business registration certificate)
- Have your premise inspected by the Sub County Health Management Committee (attach inspection report)
- Registration fee is Ksh. 10,000
- License fee is Ksh. 10,000 for Level 2 and Ksh. 20,000 for level 3
